Congratulations to John Hamilton who has won his black-belt!  At just 16 years old, John is one of the youngest ever in Scotland to achieve his 1st dan.

February

Well done to Fiona, Finn and Russell who all won trophies at the competition in Kilmarnock!

At the grading on the 11th, Big Dave got his 3rd Dan!!!  The other club players who went also did very well - Jeremy won his brown belt, Howie his green and John got another 10 points towards his 1st Dan. Well done everyone!

On the 10th Robert gained his Level-1 Club Coach qualification.  Andy Smedley is also due to complete his qualification very soon.

January

Happy New Year everyone! Training has now started again so get down to the club to work off some of the excesses of the festive period.

December

James was down at the club last night (12/12/06) with his camera.  We hope to have the video clip on the website soon.

Good luck to John Hamilton who has been selected for the four day youth training squad event in Belgium!

Congratulations to Dillan Lovett who got a gold medal; and Jack Snedon, Fiona Hamilton, Meg Turner and Finn Bringhurst who all won bronze medals at the Grangemouth Junior Championships.

At the grading in Kilmarnock, Dillan got his green-belt, Jeremy got 27 points towards his brown-belt and John Hamilton won another 10 points towards his black-belt.

Well done to John for being selected for the youth squad training in Kilmarnock.

July

After being with the club for a year, Johannes has had to return to Germany.  During his time with us he trained hard and obtained his black-belt.  The Edinburgh Bushido Judo Club would like to wish Johannes well with his studies in Germany and we hope that he comes back to visit us soon!
